Saint George Russian Orthodox Church is a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church under the Moscow Patriarchate, serving Orthodox Christians in Queens and the greater New York area.
The parish traces its history to 1917 and was formally registered as a church in New York State in 1925. For more than a century, Saint George Church has served generations of Orthodox Christians in New York.
Our church is dedicated to the Holy Great-Martyr and Victorious George, one of the most widely venerated saints in the Christian tradition.
Our parish has deep roots in the Russian Orthodox community, while welcoming people of all backgrounds who are Orthodox Christians or who would like to learn more about the Orthodox faith.
Services are held primarily in English and Church Slavonic. We gather for worship on Sundays, Saturdays, and major feast days throughout the year.
Coffee and refreshments are often served after services, giving parishioners and visitors an opportunity to spend time together.
Visitors are always welcome.
